End of Life Process

In the EOL process, the individual steps for the product life cycle are defined. The end-of-life process consists of a series of technical and business milestones and activities that remove a product from the market. If this process starts, the product is not sold, manufactured, improved, repaired, maintained or supported by the manufacturer. Retreat from Marketing

A formal notice period that indicates the stop of sales and provides a time for the customer to purchase hardware and manufacturer support for the last time.

End of Sale

The last date to order the product through normal Hitachi Data Systems point-of-sale mechanisms. After this date, the product is no longer available.

End-of-Service-Life (EOSL)

The date on which Hitachi Data Systems no longer provides support for a product. The only way to get support here is through a third part maintenance company, such as Hardwarewartung.com
