HPE Expands the ProLiant Gen 12 Server Portfolio

The HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 server series has been expanded and now offers enhanced security, increased performance, and higher efficiency for modern IT environments. At the heart of this expansion are two new server models, the HPE ProLiant Compute DL325 and DL345 Gen12, equipped with 5th generation AMD EPYC processors. The systems are designed to optimally handle memory-intensive workloads such as virtualization, VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), and container applications. A new feature is the doubling of available memory up to 6 TB compared to the previous generation, which significantly boosts performance in these areas.

Enhanced Security, Even Against Quantum Computer Attacks

The Gen12 series is also designed to offer enhanced security. The new servers feature the next generation of HPE Integrated Lights-Out (HPE iLO 7), a security feature from HPE. This technology provides chip-level protection that begins during production at the factory and accompanies the server’s entire lifecycle until its end. This protection is also designed to be effective against future quantum computer attacks, which are expected to be capable of being misused for effective brute-force attacks on conventional computer systems.

Simplified Server Management with AI

To simplify server management and increase productivity, HPE has integrated new automated and AI-driven features into HPE Compute Ops Management. This secure, cloud-based software application enables server monitoring and management and is available on all HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers. Customers benefit from improved insights because they can view Active Health System files directly in Compute Ops Management, which speeds up error analysis and reduces support tickets. Monitoring servers from different manufacturers can be seamlessly integrated into existing environments, reducing the number of tools required. AI-driven insights and approval policies for workflows are intended to reduce downtime. Greater flexibility and lower costs in virtualized environments are to be achieved through support for HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software on the latest ProLiant servers. Virtualization is also supported at the network’s edge through the HPE ProLiant DL145 for Microsoft Azure Local Integrated System. The HPE ProLiant DL145 Gen11 server, also equipped with AMD EPYC processors, is specifically designed for edge environments and offers seamless integration between local infrastructure and cloud services. The HPE ProLiant DL145 for Azure Local Integrated Systems and the HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software are already available. The new HPE ProLiant Compute DL325 and DL345 Gen12 servers can also be ordered and are expected to be delivered in July.
